Min dotter gillade den här baddräkten från burdastyle så hon printade ut mönstret och klippte ut den i ett mörkblått lycratyg vi hittade hemma. Sedan låg bitarna en tid i ett hörn eftersom hon inte hade tid att sy den. För några dagar sedan hittade vi den och jag satte igång med att sy ihop simdräkten.
Först sydde jag grensömmarna och sidosömmarna och så provade vi den och det verkade passa bra, fast lite längre kunde den ha varit. Sedan sydde jag nedre sömmen av bröstdelen. Vi offrade en gammal bh och använde kuporna som jag sydde fast på insidan av bröstdelen. Eftersom mönstrets egna instruktioner var rätt ynkliga hade vi stor hjälp av Kitty Couture's steg-för-steg handledning, och följde den till stort sett, förutom att vi inte lade till "byxbuntar".
Vi jobbade en tid med att få bröstdelen att sitta bra, problemen berodde i princip bara på att framsidan var lite kort. Resultatet är vi trots allt nöjda med, mönstret var ok och lätt att sy med Kitty Couture's hjälp.
My daughter saw this vintage swimsuit at Burdastyle, printed the pattern and cutted out the pieces in a dark blue lycrafabric we found at home. Many months later we found the pieces and I started to sew the swimsuit because my daughter didn't have time.
At first I sewed the crotch seams and the side seams, we tried it on and it seemed to fit, it was perhaps a little bit too short. Then I sewed the bottom seam of the chest part. We sacrified an old bra and used the cups. I sewed the cups to the linings inside. The instructions on burdastyle was not that good but we had a lot of help by Kitty Couture's step-by-step tutorial, and followed it mainly.
We fiddled a little bit with the chest part, but the problem was probably that the front part was a little bit too short. We are happy with the result, the pattern was ok and thanks to Kitty Couture easy to sew.
